Does my insurance reimburse the treatment?
Supplementary insurance
Reimbursement may be available through Swiss supplementary insurance, depending on your policy, treatment and the individual practitioner's recognition. Check with your insurer, or let us help.
Practitioner recognition
EMR and ASCA are the registers most Swiss supplementary insurers reference. Recognition is practitioner-specific; we tell you which recognition the practitioner treating you holds before your first appointment.
Costs
Where our pages publish prices, a follow-up session is typically around CHF 130 to 160, billed by treatment time (tariff 590); the first consultation costs more. We tell you the exact amount before your appointment.

A Swiss network for Traditional Chinese Medicine.
TCM.ch is a network of clinics and independent partner practices in German-speaking Switzerland. Practitioners are trained in TCM and experienced in Switzerland; several also trained in South Korea. The approach is the same everywhere: plenty of time per appointment, a clear assessment first, and an honest view of what TCM can and cannot do for you.
Requests are coordinated centrally by the TCM.ch team, in English or German, including questions about costs and insurance. You are treated at the clinic or partner practice that fits you; recognition and languages are shown per practitioner on the location pages.

Questions before your first appointment.
Can I be treated in English?
Requests, replies and appointment coordination are in English or German. Tell us that you would like to be treated in English and we take it into account when suggesting a practice and practitioner.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can request an appointment directly. If a doctor is already treating you, bring any findings along; we work alongside medical care, not instead of it.
Does my insurance reimburse acupuncture?
Not through basic insurance. Reimbursement may be available through Swiss supplementary insurance, depending on your policy, treatment and the individual practitioner's recognition. We tell you which recognition (EMR/ASCA) the treating practitioner holds and check your cover with you before the first appointment.
What happens at a first appointment?
A thorough case history and TCM assessment, then an honest view of what is sensible, how many sessions are realistic and where the limits lie. If we think we cannot help, we say so and point you elsewhere.

What happens after I submit the form?
A person reads your request and replies personally, usually with a concrete suggestion for a clinic and a time. Your appointment is confirmed once you agree to the proposal.
