About this clinic
TCM.ch Bahnhofstrasse is at Bahnhofstrasse 37, 8001 Zürich, on the first floor (1. OG). At the ground-floor entrance, TCM.ch is not yet listed on the building directory: please look for "Medthera", a shared practice. On the first floor you will find TCM.ch on the practice door.
Treatment follows the same principle as at every TCM.ch clinic: a thorough first consultation, a TCM assessment, then a plan with acupuncture, cupping, Tuina, a herbal prescription or other methods, depending on what makes sense for you. Opening hours are published once confirmed; until then we offer appointments on request. Our other Zürich locations are in Oerlikon and Höngg.
Bahnhofstrasse is in district 1, convenient for anyone who lives or works in the city centre and for patients from the Old Town, Enge, Aussersihl and Wiedikon.

What is offered here, and when each method is a sensible option. Each page explains the method, what a session is like and what the evidence says.

A natural, needle-based facial treatment - gentle, with modest and gradual effects.
Suction cups to ease tight muscles and improve local circulation - often combined with acupuncture.
A firm, medical-style Chinese massage for muscular tension and stiffness.
Needle-free point stimulation by finger pressure - gentle, and suitable for the needle-averse.
A calming, fully clothed Japanese pressure therapy, often used for stress and tension.
Gentle scraping over the skin with a smooth tool to ease muscular tension.
Movement-based, evidence-led rehab for pain and injury - well combined with TCM.
Individually prescribed herbal formulas, used as a complement for longer-term complaints.
Common reasons to come
Typical complaints we see. Each guide explains how we work, how many sessions are realistic and where the limits of TCM lie.
Easing mechanical neck and shoulder tension - and the headaches that follow.
Calming, supportive care for stress - alongside, not instead of, proper help.
One of the better-studied uses: reducing how often migraines strike.
A complementary approach for insomnia, alongside good sleep habits.

Not through basic insurance. Reimbursement may be available through Swiss supplementary insurance, depending on your policy, treatment and the individual practitioner's recognition. We tell you which recognition (EMR/ASCA) the treating practitioner holds and check your cover with you before any costs arise.
For acute complaints it is usually clear after four to six sessions whether the treatment is helping. Chronic issues tend to need eight to twelve sessions. We start with one or two appointments a week and give you an honest interim assessment after four sessions.
